The Institute of Indian Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies hosted the "The 3rd Korea-India 2030 Forum" online on 19th, January, 2022 (Wed.).
This edition of the Forum analysed two main topics, focusing on "Session 1. Current Challenges and Future Prospects of Indian/Korean Youth (English ONLY)" and " Session 2. An Encounter of India’s Diverse Culture with Korea (Korean ONLY)" with presentations and discussions of active participants (17 Koreans, 11 Indians, total 28).
In Session 1, participants had an opportunity to look at the realistic problems faced both by Korean and Indian youth, particularly in terms of youth unemployment, political participation and gender issues. In particular, it was worthwhile sharing the situations in view of the pandemic era.
Whereas in Session 2, participants shared their thoughts on India's diverse culture from the point of views of Korean, and also compared both nations' languages and cultures.
The annual forum is designed to provide a venue for dialogue and cooperation with graduate/undergraduate students and researchers from both Korea and India and will keep up to encourage further academic exchange.
